Music Experience

My love of music originated when I was 11 years old due to the passion of my peers and music staff at St. Clairsville Middle School in St. Clairsville, Ohio. In my enrollment as a middle and high school student, I learned how to play the (Bb/bass) clarinet, oboe, (tenor/alto) saxophone, and (electric/acoustic) guitar, playing the instruments in a variety of ensembles at my school!

I enrolled as a music major at Marietta with my focus being in clarinet studies, but after my first year, I changed my specialty to piano despite never taking lessons. It was a lot of hard work, but I was determined to succeed- and I did! I have completed two and a half years of juries on piano and plan to complete my third year by my graduation date.

In college, I have been a part of numerous ensembles, including symphonic band, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, pit orchestra, and pep band. In high school, I was in the award-winning St. Clairsville Band Program, participating in marching band, jazz band, concert band, pit orchestra, and symphonic band. I also participated in the concert choir and the (also award-winning) St. C Singers.

I was inducted into the Marietta College Music Department honorary (Mu Psi Kappa) in 2022 and am serving as the secretary/treasurer for the 2023-2024 school year. I also received a four-year music scholarship at the college. 

My specific skill sets in music are composition, orchestration, arranging, lyricism, and musical direction.
